The Girl With Kaleidoscope Eyes

It's Saturday morning now.Nick just left my house after a long day of work and only 1 fag!!We're so proud of ourselves...Oh YeAh,lEt'S sEe If I cAn TyPe LiKe ThIs FoR tHe ReSt Of ThE eNtRy.OmG...iT's DrIvInG mE nUtS aLrEaDy...
OK!!!CANNOT TAHAN!!!It just goes against my system to type like that,it's MADNESS!!!Ok I'll try talking about something intellectual today.I just read an article in Glamour Magazine today,it was about this tradition in Nepal that's becoming an argument over whether it's just a traditional practice or violation of human rights.Every 7-8 years, one young girl around the age of 3,will be taken from her home and be "transformed" into a living goddess, called a Kumari. This Kumari is believed to be a reincarnation of some Nepalese goddess, and the girls are chosen by astrologers and chief priests.Their birthdays have to fall on the same day as the Nepalese King, and their star signs have to coincide with the goddess. So once the right girl is chosen, she will live in the Kumari palace(which has been around since the 18th century.OMG.) and she will literally live the life of a goddess.Everyday, she blesses people for 4-6 hours, then for the rest of the day,she gets to play and enjoy her life as a worshipped figure. This will carry on for many years, until she hits puberty and gets her first period, then a new Kumari is chosen. The only glitch to this beautiful life? All these little girls are taken from their homes at such a young age and given everything they want, only to be thrown back a few years later into a society they were never given a chance to familiarize themselves with. Some end up doing their first grade of education at the age of 11 because they never received any kind of education while playing the part of the living goddess.Human rights being violated or just a tradition?I go with violation.Seriously,it's just wrong.
Oh well...time to sleep soon. It's gonna be a looong day later.
